Overview

Webydo is a different type of website builder that is geared toward professional designers who need a white label option for their customers. Webydo is a total website building solution, with an online editor, integrated SEO, options for e-commerce, hosting, storage, and a proprietary CMS. The catch is that you don’t need to know any code. In theory, you can build websites and your own website design business without having to know a single line of HTML, CSS, or other code.

For casual users, Webydo offers a small collection of 28 pre-made templates, each of which is a pleasing, modern theme from which to build a website. All sites are mobile responsive and are ready to go for today’s browsing habits.

Pricing for Webydo starts at $75/month, which is reflective of its desire to cater to small design agencies rather than individual users. At that rate, Webydo is certainly not worth it if you’re just building a site for yourself. However, if you need a total package with integrated CMS, onboard e-commerce, and the ability to create up to 10 websites, it might be a good choice for designers that need some help getting off on the right foot. Larger plans up the ante with white label solutions and up to 30 and 100 sites, respectively, for $150/month and $400/month.

Support options for Webydo are quite good. All users have access to an in-depth collection of online resources, including FAQs, a knowledge base, and various guides and videos. Live chat and email support are included with all plans, and phone-based support is available as well.

Webydo does lack some features, however. You can only export sites if you spring for the $400/month plan, and email is only available through a third party like Google Apps. There are templates for many popular needs, like restaurants, marketing, and portfolios, but others are lacking, including those for education and medical purposes. At this time, there is also no blogging platform, but an “articles” widget which can be made to use as a type of blog, which, given the price and the other features available, seems like quite an oversight.

Nonetheless, there is a lot to be excited about with Webydo. It has some of the best SEO tools around and with higher paid plans gives you the ability to add multiple designer accounts, one for each person in your agency. You have access to unlimited web fonts, a parallax scrolling animator, drag and drop editing, and automated layouts that adapt to your design choices. It’s a highly powerful tool, indeed, but is certainly more than the average Joe needs.
