liveBooks Review

LiveBooks is a modern, beautiful website builder that is specially designed for people that need to build an online portfolio. All five of their templates have portfolio sections, making it easy for you to get samples of your work uploaded and online in little time. Though the template selection isn’t much, each one is well designed and mobile responsive.

You can build a normal website with liveBooks, or, you can integrate third-party platforms to build an online store. There is no native e-commerce solution, which is a shame because integrating with a third-party often takes much more time. Also missing are email services and the ability to download one’s site. And since liveBooks specializes in portfolios, there’s not much in the way of template selection for purposes such as medicine, restaurants, education, or landing pages, though a template could be modified to meet those needs.

The support options are quite good, with an extensive collection of online documents to help you along the way, as well as an easy help button right in the editing interface. Email and phone support are available as well – as it should be at this price point. The basic package is $20/month, with other packages with a few more features offered for $40/month and $60/month, respectively.

All in all, liveBooks is a solid website builder with many excellent features, including a gorgeous mobile-friendly editor, top-notch SEO tools, varied portfolio views, and social media integration. But, even with all those features, $20/month is still pretty pricey.
