Overview

livesite

LiveSite offers just three templates, each with a specialized focus – a “startup” template that offers a basic website perfect for small businesses, a “shopper” template that includes full-featured e-commerce functionalities, and a “full” template that has all of LiveSite’s features available for a completely built-out website. Though there are just three choices, you can actually import a template from a third party or even import an existing website into LiveSite. That’s a very uncommon feature that adds to the functionality of the platform. As a result, you can build a website for any purpose – education, medical, restaurants, portfolios, and marketing, to name a few.

All sites built with LiveSite are mobile responsive, and if you wish to host your site elsewhere, you can do so. Email is not included, and you cannot download your website. Free hosting is included, however. Support options are a bit lacking, with a great online forum and documentation area, but no live chat or phone support.

Pricing begins with a startup plan that’s free for 30 days. After that, you’re required to upgrade to one of two plans – the Pro plan for $19/month or the Elite plan for $49/month. Although LiveSite offers a lot of features, these prices are quite steep, especially when you factor in that the LiveSite editor is quite complicated and difficult to learn how to use. There are other website builders out there that have similar features and a better editing experience for a lower price.
