Overview
Site2You has hundreds of templates from which to choose. The problem is that the vast majority of them require an additional payment. Their free templates, of which there are over 125 in total, aren’t anything spectacular from a design standpoint. There are plenty of options, though, especially for business and marketing related sites. Templates for restaurants are also plentiful, and if you have a need to create a site for educational or medical purposes, you could do that with some customizations. However, if you need a portfolio, there really are no free templates that will fit the bill. The bigger issue is that of all the templates we examined, none were mobile responsive. That’s a must-have feature in today’s world.
Additionally, you cannot download the site and must host it with Site2You, although packages have at least 10GB of storage. Support options are middle of the road at best. The online documentation isn’t well organized, nor that helpful. The live chat function no longer works either. But there are some handy video tutorials, and you can schedule a call to get assistance with a problem. Submitting a trouble ticket via email is another option.
At $24.95/month, Site2You isn’t exactly cheap, especially considering that there are no blogging tools and the only e-commerce to speak of is the ability to add a PayPal button. The worst part is that you have to pay a one-time fee of $199.00 to cover the 10 hours of webmaster assistance that you’re forced to get. Though the webmaster assistance is a nice support feature, requiring an upfront payment for it beyond the monthly fee is ridiculous.
At the end of the day, Site2You doesn’t offer much in the way of features or well-designed templates, the support system isn’t that good, and the editor is terrible. There are much better (and less expensive) options out there.
