When you first visit the “what you see is what you get website builder” you are going to find that you are going to be required to download this system on your computer before you are able to even view the system.  Now, I found out that it was not going to cost me anything in order to download this program as you are going to have a free 30 day free trail.  Therefore, I did not think that there would be any harm in downloading the program.

I wanted to determine what the features of this site were going to be before I decided to download the program.  I wanted to know if it was going to be worth downloading. If the program was not going to offer any features that I was interested in I was not going to go through the trouble.  I simply clicked on the features tab to read about this website builder and what I was going to have available to me if I wanted to use it.  I found a lot of nice features such as flash, a banner maker and even built in pop up management.  Some of these features were different from other site builders I had used so I decided I would go ahead and download the program.  This did not take long at all and I was impressed that the downloading process went as smoothly as it did.

Now, because I was very eager to get started with my free trial I downloaded it before I reviewed the online tutorials.  The home page will show a link for tutorials and there are a lot of them that you can select from.  I found that this site was not very easy to use at all and I was, in fact, going to need to review all of the different tutorials that were found on this site.  Let me show you what I am talking about.  Take a minute to look at the following screen shot.

It was going to be very difficult for me to create a website with this builder.  I felt totally overwhelmed and I had no idea how to go about moving forward with my site.  I really felt like I was going to need to hire someone to build my site for me and that was exactly what I wanted to avoid.  After all, that is why I was using a website builder in the first place.

I decided to play around with the site builder a little bit and I did at least find out how to add text to my site.  The more I played around with the website builder I found that it really was as easy as working with a word document.  I began to get a little bit more comfortable and I actually found myself having fun with the program.  However, I did not like the fact that I was not going to have any templates to work from.  I did find that if you click on the help tab at the top of the page I was able to find just about any topic that I wanted in there and I was able to find how to download templates as well.  This made me feel better as I found out that I could access templates but at the same time it was just one more step that I was going to need to go through and more downloading that I was not really interested in.

Once I was totally finished with my site and entering all of the text, images and banners that I wanted to have on it, I needed to work on publishing my site.  During my experience with this website builder I found that I was not going to have hosting with this site builder when I was ready to publish it.  That meant that I was going to be required to search through different hosting companies and pay another fee in order to publish my site so that others could see it on the Internet.  Along with this investigating, I was able to find out that I was not going to be given a sub-domain with this website builder either.  I was going to be required to purchase my own domain name.  Some people do not like to do this because they do not like paying for it.  However, it does make you look more professional, it helps others take you seriously and it will also help others find your website.  If you want to appear professional then you are going to be very happy that you have purchased your own website.

Finally, I was going to need to decide if I wanted to let my free trial expire or if I was going to pay for this program.  I was very shocked to see that I was going to receive a free upgrade if I was willing to pay for this website builder now.  There are not very many companies that will give you that amazing little bonus.  In order to purchase this website builder I was going to be required to pay $44.95.  Now this was different from other site builders because once I paid for it I was going to have it forever.  Other site builders would require me to make monthly or yearly payments.  A one time fee was nice but I was not going to have a domain name or hosting and that was an added monthly or yearly expense.  I was also impressed that I was going to have three different ways that I would be able to pay for this program.  This was nice because I had options and many other site builders did not offer this.

The site is free for a short period of time.  You can download the program and utilize the free trial.  When the trial is over you will be required to pay $44.95 for the program if you would like to continue using it.  It is well worth the price if you are going to be building multiple sites considering that some site builders charge you $20.00 a month for their services.

I would not recommend this site builder to someone that is just starting out with building a website.  I found it to be very confusing and time consuming.  Yes, you can figure it out the more you play around with it, but why go through all of that if you are able to find other sites that will allow you to use templates and create a site in minutes?
